I tried the site out again with Chrome and Firefox again this morning. In Chrome, without clearing cache, the speed is reasonable. Once cache is cleared, it again takes ages. In Firefox, cache or no cache is the same slow speed. Maybe it is just me.

I’m using the Google Chrome browser. I have no problems reaching the REACH website now and earlier this morning.

I have tried, it seems fine. However, maybe they need better machines to run if all singaporean is going to flood into the site.

Btw, your comment box doesn’t work well with my IE6; the display overflow to the right.

@Wilfrid. After it gets cached the first time, it is slightly better. Also, I think at different times the response is different. This morning I tried with Firefox again (since it is the only browser I have with a timing function) and clocked 943.074 seconds.

I guess REACH will really need to work on making the website response time fast enough for all if they truly want to be the main channel of e-engagement for the Government.

Hmmm … I use Google Chrome. Loading time seems OK. I haven’t played around with the registration process yet … lol.
